This university was established in 1983 specifically to serve women. It is in the Andhra Pradesh city of Tirupati. It was founded as a public university. The university was founded by Sri N.T. Rama Rao.

The Autonomous Postgraduate Centre was granted university status in 1981 in response to community concerns. Initially, Sri Krishna deva Raya University was a single institution of higher education. In 1988, it was given the title of affiliating university.
It currently serves the Anantharaman District in particular as well as the Rayalaseema region’s general higher education needs. The Kurnool Postgraduate Centre, which the University has control over since 1993, separated from the University in 2008.

SKU Admission for Distance Learning?
SKU does not provide any remote learning courses in accordance with UGC regulations. A candidate’s performance, measured by their score on the most recent qualifying exam, essentially determines which courses they are admitted to. Direct admissions and entrance admissions are both available for some UG degrees. Forms are submitted on the SKU website, and the application procedure is entirely handled online.
Regular enrollment in UG courses is accomplished through admissions to BA, BBM, B.Com, and BSc. A B.Ed. program also accepts applications. Students can also apply for admission to graduate programs such the MBA, BLIS, MA, MSc, and M.Com.
Candidates who want to enroll in standard UG programs can apply for eligibility based on merit. All that is necessary is for students to pass intermediate in addition to the university admission exam.
Entry requirements for PG regular programs are likewise based on merit, and applicants must have a UG degree with a minimum of 50% overall.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is a three-year degree program for which admissions are based on merit. Having at least 45 to 50 percent in the previous 10+2 examinations counts as part of it. The cost is 12,135 Indian rupees.
The chosen candidate must have at least a 50% cumulative grade point average and be qualified for a Bachelor of Science (BSc). The cost of this training is 12,350 Indian rupees.
The three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) program costs INR 11,780 and has a duration of that time. Only those applicants who have passed both their SSC and HSC with an average grade of at least 50% are chosen for admission to this program.
